ESP UNION RE-CERTIFICATION NOTICES

EEA UNION RE-CERTIFICATION NOTICE

• Teacher's Union Election: September 22 - October 20 - Link to Notice

• Per Florida SB 256, an employee organization that has less than 60 percent of the employees eligible for representation must petition for re-certification with the Public Employees Relations Commission. (PERC)
• If ordered by PERC, a recertification election will be held to determine whether the employee group desires to continue to be represented by the employee organizations for the purpose of collective bargaining.
• All employees in the bargaining unit  may participate in the recertification election regardless of union membership. The majority of the ballots cast in the election will determine the outcome of the election. 

Escambia Educators Association (EEA) Recertification: 

• On July 20, 2026, PERC directed for an election to be conducted for this bargaining unit. An eligibility list of voters was provided on August 11, 2026. There is no election date(s) set as of 8/11/26.

Union of Escambia Education Staff Professionals (UESP) Recertification: 

• The Union of ESPs is made up of three sub-unions as below: 
• 1) Union 850 "Blue Collar"
• 2) Union 897 "White Collar"
• 3) Union 923 "Supervisors/Managers"
