The proactive mission of the Escambia County School Counseling Department is to provide comprehensive counseling services to K-12 students which promote the well-being and social development, career and college opportunities and academic achievement of all students, as well as support for their families.

In events such as the tragedy at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, CT, this is an opportunity for our schools to take the time to review safety procedures and protocol. By being proactive in maintaining a safe learning environment, together we will continue to "create a school district where parents want to send their children, students want to learn, teachers want to teach and employees want to work."
