Oakcrest Elementary, a Title 1 School, along with our families and students share the responsibility for improving student achievement. We must build a partnership that will help students achieve high standards.

 

School Responsibilities

• High-quality targeted curriculum and instruction aligned to the state standards 
• Safe and supportive learning environment
• Staff available for conferences 

 

Family Responsibilities

• Maintain regular attendance - Have your student at school daily on time
• Check citizenship form for notes from the teacher, discuss with your student and sign
• Read with your student daily and discuss what you have read
• Ensure students arrive to school wearing appropriate school uniform - khaki bottoms, red, white or blue polo shirt and closed toed shoes (crocs are not acceptable)

Student Responsibilities

• Follow the Eagle RISE pledge and share citizenship form with family

  • Self-Control
  • Engaged Effort
• Read every day for 20 minutes and practice math and reading fluency
• Complete homework
