District Vehicle Loaner Program

Borrowing District Cars

Our department has a limited number of District-owned vehicles to be loaned out for use on official District business. To avoid conflicts or over-promising, please submit a request through the buttons below if you want to reserve use of a District vehicle. Requests are fulfilled in the order received, pending availability. After submitting your request, your reservation will be added to the calendar. In the event that vehicles are not available to fulfill your request, you will be contacted by email.

Travel Restrictions

  • These vehicles may only be driven by credentialed (badged), background-checked District employees, aged 25 or over, who hold a valid driver's license issued within the United States.
  • Only travel within the state of Florida will be permitted, as the vehicles are not insured to travel to other states.

Request a Reservation

Use this form to request to reserve a vehicle and provide the details of your planned trip. Be sure to be as accurate as possible with your request details.

Driver Certification

District staff borrowing a vehicle should complete a Driver Certification form once per school term (Aug-Dec, Jan-May, Jun-Jul) to be retained on file at the transportation office. You may bring your completed form when you arrive to pick up the vehicle, or complete the form in the Transportation Office at time of pick-up, or return prior to pick-up by emailing to SNanny@ecsdfl.us.

Vehicle Passenger Roster

Any vehicle that will be transporting students must complete a Vehicle Passenger Roster and keep the completed form in the vehicle for the duration of the trip, and update them mid-trip if seating arrangements change. After the trip, these forms may be securely disposed of (shredded) or retained at the school. Please do not turn them in at transportation when you return the car.

Our Fleet Has Grown!

As of late-January 2026, our fleet of loaner vehicles has doubled in size, from 4 vehicles to 8. Please make note of the following:

  • The newer vehicles have room for 1 additional passenger (7 vs. 6).
  • Vehicles will be assigned based on the nature and details of the trip. We will not be able to facilitate requests for "only" specific vehicle types.
  • The 2 vehicle types shown below are all we have to loan. We do not have sedans/cars or pick-up trucks.
