"Permanent" Announcements & Reminders

Changes to DOT Physical Reporting Procedures:
Starting Tuesday, December 16, 2025 the National Registry will start reporting your new DOT physical (medical card) to the DMV. Anyone that completes their DOT physical and obtains their new medical card on or after Tuesday, December 16, 2025 will not be required to take the new medical card to the DMV. Remember in order for your CDL license to remain whole, your DOT physical/medical card must be reported to the DMV prior to your current medical cards expiration date and processed. That process can take up to, but not limited to, four (4) business days. If you have any questions please contact Kate Lewis in the safety and training office at 850-469-5328.

Bus Inspections:
ALL DRIVERS are being asked to bring their buses in for inspection the day before the "due date" printed on the stickers inside their buses. We also discussed this change during Inservice. When your bus is called, please bring it in promptly to keep the garage on schedule with bus inspections. Thank you.

Payroll Reminder:
When completing work outside of your normal work hours (i.e inspection, mid-day. field trips, OJT etc) make sure that you make notes on your timesheet. This keeps your timesheet approval from being delayed.

OTJ/Mid-Day/Field Trips:
Make sure that when completing an OJT, Mid-day, or Field Trip that you clock out from your regular duty and then clock right back in. Once you have completed your OJT, Mid-Day, or Field Trip, clock back out and if need be clock back in for your regular duty. Please make sure that you complete a note as well. If you have any questions please contact your clerk or route manager.

Procedure for Morning Video Pulls:
New procedure for Morning Video Pulls at the Texar Compound: When coming for a video pull at the Texar compound after your morning runs, please pull through the Garage parking lot and park behind the line for the Wash Rack, and then call in for your video pull. Please do not park behind the employee vehicles or on the strip of grass in front of the Garage. Thank you.
