    Student Badge

Kingsfield Elementary School has begun using a school-wide identification (ID) badge system for our students!

Initially the purpose of badge usage was to begin implementation of a more touchless environment in the COVID age.  Since the initial deployment of badges, we’ve discovered their usage is extremely beneficial!

A visual ID system adds an additional safety measure for our staff and students as students wearing their ID may be quickly identified by any staff member to ensure students are in appropriate areas at the correct times.  It also aids in identifying destinations of students in transition in the event of an emergency.  We want to provide a safe and orderly environment to foster student learning and the ID badges will assist in the security of everyone on campus.

Wearing IDs also helps our students prepare for the world after elementary school where most middle and high school students are required to wear identification.

IDs provide the school with an efficient and touchless way to manage our library checkout system and cafeteria food service line. In addition, we continually look for new and innovative ways to implement badge usage into daily student life.

Finally, besides enhancing school safety, badges can create a feeling of unity among students.
