My name is Mrs. Angela Large. I have the wonderful opportunity to be working at Jim Allen Elementary School. This is my 8th year working as a school counselor in Escambia County, Florida. Before starting in Escambia County, I was a school counselor and teacher for 31 years before retiring in Alabama. I have my undergraduate degree in Special Education and a Master's Degree in School Counseling of which both degrees are from the University of South Alabama.

When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I love gardening, walking, and going to the beach.

    The Mission of Jim Allen Elementary School's comprehensive school counseling program is to provide equity of services and access to data driven comprehensive student services program that address the academic, career , and social/emotional development of all students. In partnership with administrators, teachers, parents and community, the program advocates for all students and empowers them to achieve success.
