• Application Process

    Thank you for your interest in the
    International Baccalaureate Program!

     

    Admission Requirements

    Applications are scored based on the following: 

    • A/B average on the most recent report card
    • F.A.S.T. scores are a minimum of a 3 in Reading and Mathematics (or B.E.S.T. scores for Algebra 1)
      • The district office will request testing records from the school
      • For students who do not have FAST test scores, other standardized tests such as MAPS and STAR are also acceptable
    • No serious discipline infractions or repeated history of disciplinary problems
    • Documented regular attendance

    You may provide a letter of explanation to the IB Office by emailing cboyett@ecsdfl.us if one of the above requirements was unable to be met due to extenuating circumstances. 

     

    Admission Timeline

    • The online application is available from October 30th to December 8th for all students applying. No late applications will be accepted after this time unless families moved into the district after the deadline.
    • Acceptance letters are expected to be sent from the district office in early February. 
    • Tiger Showcase is held in late February for accepted students to learn about courses, electives, clubs, and athletics at PHS. 

     

    Applications are welcomed from students from Escambia and Santa Rosa counties.
