We had an INCREDIBLE weekend at our District 6 Thespian Competition this weekend. 16 students competed in a One Act Play competition and 17 Individual Event pieces.
Our One Act Play, Peace, Love and Cupcakes The Musical, received straight superior ratings and was one of the plays chosen to compete at STATE! The play also won "Best Ensemble" award and Beatrice Bunnell won a "Special Actor Recognition" award. Sydney Burkey received the "All Star Cast" award!
Our IEs received 7 superior and 10 Excellent ratings. My sophomore girls, Faith Crane, Sydney Burkey, and Vivian Fernandez got Critics Choice for their ensemble acting scene! The same girls, Ainsley Cramblet, Faith Crane, Sydney Burkey, and Vivian Fernandez, won Critics Choice and BEST IN SHOW for their Small Group Musical number. They get to perform their song in front of 10,000 people at the state level in March and represent our entire District.
