Callout -- Week Ahead sent on Sun, Aug 27:
Good evening, parents. This is Mrs. Cramer calling from WFHS. Our school year is off to a great start and we are enjoying having the students back on campus. This coming week is going to be very busy so the purpose of my call is to share information that you will need for this week.

On Monday & Tuesday, students in grades 9-11 will take yearbook photos during English class. There is no charge for students to take their yearbook photo; however, anyone interested in purchasing pictures can do so the day of or order on-line. Packets were provided to students in their English class this past week or you can access a copy of the order form on our school website.

Tuesday, Aug 29th is Open House. We invite all families to come meet their student's teachers from 6:00 - 7:30 p.m. and learn about the many great activities taking place on our campus. Parents are encouraged to pull up their student's schedule in Focus and report to the 1st period class by 6 p.m.  Our PTSA will be on campus that evening as well to collect memberships from any parent or student wishing to join our Parent Teacher Student Association. Annual membership is only $10 and is open to anyone with a vested interest in public education and WFHS.

On Wednesday, Aug 30, any senior that did not take their senior portrait over the summer, or any senior that did not like their original photos taken over the summer, will have one final opportunity to have their picture taken during the school day. These pictures will be placed in the Yearbook & used for senior badges. Senior portraits do require a $35 sitting fee and proofs will be available at a later date for purchase.

9th & 10th grade students have testing this week on Wed & Thurs and should arrive at school on time w/ a charged chromebook.

WFHS will host a Spirit Night on Thursday, Aug 31st from 5-9 p.m. at Bubba's 33. The restaurant is located in the BJ's parking lot on the corner of Creighton Road & Davis Hwy. Please come support WFHS and enjoy a great meal with one of our business partners, Bubba's 33!

Finally, Friday, Sept 1st will be Student Appreciation Night at our 1st home football game of the season. We hope to pack our stadium as we take on Washington HS at 7 p.m. Students will receive a code at school this week that will allow them to secure a FREE ticket for the football game using the GoFan ticket app. We are so grateful that you have chosen to send your students to WFHS & Student Appreciation Night is one way for the WFHS Administration to show our appreciation for our students.

As I said at the beginning of this call, we have a very busy week ahead! Please view our school website for a written transcript of the information included in tonight's callout. You can find it under the Communications link under the Parent tab of our school website.

Thank you & have a great evening...Go Jags!

Testing Call out on Mon, Aug 28:
Good evening, parents. This is Mrs. Cramer calling from WFHS. I am calling this evening to advise parents and to remind students about Progress Monitoring testing on Wed & Thurs of this week.

The 1st Progress Monitoring State Assessment will be administered to 9th graders on Wednesday, Aug 30th beginning at 8:30 & 10th grade students will sit for their assessment on Thursday, Aug 31st. It is very important for students to arrive at school on time with a fully charged chromebook. Eating breakfast before school is also recommended to help students focus and perform at their best.

Students received a notification letter last week in English class giving them access to practice materials and the testing platform.

Please reach out to your student's school counselor if you have any questions.
