By observing and understanding how the past has influenced the present, humankind can look toward and create future civilizations with confidence.

As world leaders, should we stay on Earth or should we go (colonize off-world)?

Students take on the role of world leaders and have a summit: European Union, United States, etc. They come up with issues that affect us globally and argue for/against.

It is the beginning of the 24th century and humans have decided that “a future with space settlement is vastly better than one without it.”  Students will work together to design a new world and present a pitch to potential investors.
