Dean Gainey has been at Bailey since 2007. She has served as a 6th grade science teacher, technology coordinator, and has been a Dean since 2018. Dean Gainey is working on her Ph.D in Education Administration at Auburn University. 

I was born in NY and raised in NJ. I returned to NY for College where I graduated with my Bachelors in Biology and Master in Secondary & Special Education from Wagner College. I started my teaching career in 2008 in a middle school on Staten Island. I took a leap of faith and moved to Florida with my now husband at the beginning of the 2015 school year and worked in an Elementary school for 2 years. This is also where we became a family of 3 when we adopted our fur baby, Penny. We relocated to Alabama in 2017 and this is when I started my career with Escambia County Schools. In 2018, I married Anthony and had our first daughter in 2019. In 2021 we welcomed our second daughter into our lives. We love spending weekends relaxing on our boat or running around on our family owned and operated Pecan Orchard.

Bailey Middle School has been my home away from home for the last 5 years. My first 4 years was spent as the Behavior Coach and I am honored to be sitting in the Administrative Deans position for my 1st year. I am proud to be a Bulldog and love Bulldog Country.
