Department of Health staff will provide instruction to students in select schools. 
On the following topics: 5210, and Handwashing. The materials have been
Reviewed and approved by the District Health Services Coordinator, Betty Hagans,MSN,RN                                      

Practice good hygiene

• Stop handshaking - use other non-contact methods of greeting
• Wash your hands with soap and water for 20 seconds or use
  hand sanitizer before meals, after using the restroom, and after coughing or sneezing
• Create habits and reminders to avoid touching your face
• Cover coughs and sneezes -wash your hands!
• Disinfect surfaces like doorknobs, tables, desks and handrails regularly

Handle food carefully

• Limit food sharing

Staff and students should not come to school if experiencing any of the following:

• Fever greater than 100.4
• Vomiting and/or Diarrhea
