1. Field trip scheduling begins in August during teacher pre-school in-service days.  Date and time will be emailed to all Elementary School principals                                                                                              Beginning in the 2024-25 school year, scheduling will occur through the website "SignUp Genius".  The link, date and time that you may begin signing up will be provided to Elementary School principals in August. Call Debra Early-Magouyrk, the Mathematics/Science Department Secretary, at 850-469-5614 or call Molly or Alisa at (850) 937-2117 with any questions.

    

2. Approximately one month prior to your field trip date, you will receive an email from Debra Early-Magouryk which contains information on scheduling transportation as well as choosing the programs in which you would like your students to participate.

    

3. Review the content of our programs by clicking on either the "2nd Grade Teacher Packet" or "5th Grade Teacher Packet" link in the email.  Look over the program curriculum and correlation to the Florida State Science Standards.  Choose the program(s) which will best suit the needs of your students.  Please complete the "Program Request Google Form" linked in the email for each day your school will be visiting the Roy Hyatt Environmental Center. 

    

4. After selecting the program(s) in which you would like your students to participate, please complete the 2nd or 5th Grade Program Request Google Form.  Please complete this form a minimum of two weeks prior to your visit.

    

5. A minimum of three weeks prior to your visit to RHEC, ask your school office to generate a Bus Request Form. Add the school information and code to the form and forward to Debra Early-Magouyrk

    

6. Confirm your scheduled bus and program choices with Debra Early-Magouyrk at 850-469-5614 at least 2 weeks in advance.

    

1. The Roy Hyatt Environmental Center pays for half of the cost of the bus for all ECSD 2nd and 5th grade field trips up to $87.50.  The school is responsible for the other $87.50 and any cost that might go over the total of $175.

    

2. After scheduling your field trip a transportation request form must be completed online by the secretary at your school, being sure to include your school code on the form.  This form is then emailed to the Mathematics/Science Dept. Secretary, Debra Earl-Magouryk, DEarly-magouyrk@ecsdfl.us.

    

3. Debra Early-Magouryk  will then add the RHEC code to the form and forward it to the Transportation Department.

    

4. Two weeks prior to your field trip it is always a good idea to check with Debra Early-Magouryk, as well as the Transportation Department, to make certain that all is in order for your trip.

    

*All other groups must make their own transportation arrangements.
