Northview High
School-Family Compact 2023-2024
The School Family Compact is an agreement and commitment between the family and the school to help ensure the success of the student. The parties to this compact acknowledge that we share the responsibility for improved student achievement. Each of us has an important role in promoting learning. Being mindful of our responsibilities, we pledge the following:
For School Employees - Northview High School faculty and staff will provide a high quality curriculum, effective and appropriate instruction, and a safe and supportive learning environment for all our students. We will respect and honor families’ rights to be involved in decisions about their child's education. We will encourage our students' effort inside and outside of the classroom. We will enforce our district and school rules while preserving each student's dignity. We will communicate with families regularly. We will abide by the highest standards of our profession. We will encourage students to develop school pride and spirit through sports, activities, school-sponsored events, and clubs.
For Families - We will support our child's learning by ensuring good attendance, monitoring grades and behavior, and communicating regularly with school staff. We will encourage our child's effort both inside and outside the classroom in all they do as a Northview Chief. We will help to maintain a positive learning environment by communicating and supporting the Northview faculty and staff as we mutually enforce district and school rules. We will participate in decisions about our child's education.
For Students - As a Northview Chief, we will do the best we can to succeed inside and outside the classroom. We will take pride in being a Northview Chief by respecting the rights of other students and respecting our teachers and staff. We will work to make our school a safe and positive place by following district and school rules. We will ask for help when we need it. We will do our best to complete all our graduation requirements on time.
For All Parties - We have the right to expect that the other parties to this compact will act responsibly, be respectful of others, and set a good example.
