    This program offers a sequence of courses that provides coherent and rigorous content aligned with challenging academicstandards and relevant technical knowledge and skills needed to prepare for further education and/or careers such as Computer Support Assistant, Network Support Technician, Systems Administrator, Systems Engineer, Wireless NetworkAdministrator, and Data Communications Analyst in the Information Technology career cluster. The curriculum emphasizes technical skill proficiency and competency-based applied learning that supports academic knowledge, higher-
    order reasoning and problem-solving skills, professional work habits, general employability, technical skills, and occupation-specific expertise across all aspects of the IT field.


    The content includes, but is not limited to, instruction in computer literacy; software application support; basic hardware configuration and troubleshooting; networking technologies; cybersecurity fundamentals, system administration, customer service, and communication skills. Students gain hands-on experience in setting up, maintaining and support operating systems, network infrastructures, and secure computing environments using industry relevant tolls and techniques.


    The program integrates certification exam preparation for the Information Technology Specialist (ITS) series, CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Server+, and CompTIA Security+ certifications—equipping students with the foundational and intermediate-level competencies required for success in a variety of IT roles. Students are prepared for industry certification exams, such as the Microsoft (MOS) Associate, Information Technology Specialist (ITS) Networking, Network Security, CompTIA A+, and CompTIA Network+, and CompTIA Server+ certifications— equipping students with the foundational and intermediate-level competencies required for success in a variety of IT roles.
