• Bus Information for Students Attending Their Residentially-Zoned School

    The Bus Stop Locator Tool will be available one week prior to the start of each new school year. We highly recommend that parents double-check the Tool the evening before the first day of school since route change during the final week before school starts is very common, as students are added to the rosters following new or changed enrollments.

    Note: It is imperative that parents/guardians ensure student contact information remains current in the District's student database throughout the year, as school services and the ability of the District to contact parents/guardians in the event of an emergency depend on it.

    The Bus Stop Locator Tool does not pertain to students who attend school on a school choice approval or other students who attend school "out of zone" (they live outside of the school's regular attendance zone).

    This tool allows bus stops to be located based on the student's address.

    • What if my child's school isn't on the list of results for our address?  There are several potential causes for this.  Most commonly, this happens when your child is enrolled at a school outside your residential attendance zone (school choice students, magnet school students, opportunity scholarship students, etc.).  If you believe this to be an error, please contact us.
      **Note: The bus stop locator tool is not intended to be used as a school zone locator. If you wish to determine your residential school zone designation based on your address, please utilize the District's School Lookup Tool.**

    • What if my child's school *is* on the list of results, but there's no bus information shown?  This happens when there is no bus stop already established for the address that's been entered.  It might be a new address/neighborhood, or simply an area where there aren't other students needing bus service.  If your address is inside the school's residential zone, and not within the walk zone, please ask the school's front office to submit a bus ticket request for your child(ren).  Bus stops will be assigned to or created for students eligible for bus service, following the receipt of bus ticket requests from the schools.

    • We have a split custody arrangement, and sometimes our child resides with one parent, and sometimes with the other parent. How do we get bus service to both addresses?  Students can only be guaranteed bus service to and from their primary address (as shown in FOCUS).  Parents and guardians may request bus service to/from other locations within the school's zone by submitting an Accommodation Request.  Accommodation Requests are granted on a space-available, first-come-first-served basis, and cannot be guaranteed to any student.  Click here for more information or to submit an Accommodation Request.

    • We live outside the residential zone for the school, but the student's grandmother/aunt/family friend/etc. lives inside the zone. Can my student ride the bus to their address?  Students are not promised bus service to or from anyplace other than their primary address and only to their residentially-zoned school.  Parents and guardians may request bus service to/from other locations within the school's zone by submitting an Accommodation Request.  Accommodation Requests are granted on a space-available, first-come-first-served basis, and cannot be guaranteed to any student.  Click here for more information or to submit an Accommodation Request.

    • We have located the bus information for our address, but we are dissatisfied with the location of the bus stop. How can we get it moved?  For information on the procedures for requesting to move the location of a bus stop, please visit this page.

    • We live between 2 bus stops on the same bus route, but would rather use the one our child is not currently assigned to. How do we request reassignment?  Please utilize the Accommodation Request process, and specify the location of the alternate bus stop that you would rather use.
  • Magnet School Bus Information

    Students attending magnet schools (NB Cook Elementary, Brown Barge Middle, West Florida High, and Pensacola High IB) may request transportation via our Center-to-Center bus routes.

    • Magnet school students are not automatically assigned to buses.
    • Parents must submit a Magnet Accommodation Request to request bus service.
    • Magnet school buses are assigned on a space-available, first-come-first-served basis.
    • Standard neighborhood bus routes are not provided for magnet schools.
