District Vehicle Loaner Program

Borrowing District Cars
Our department has a limited number of District-owned vehicles to be loaned out for use on official District business. To avoid conflicts or over-promising, please submit a request through THIS SHORT FORM if you want to reserve use of a District vehicle. After submitting your request, your reservation will be added to the calendar. In the event that vehicles are not available to fulfill your request, you will be contacted by email.
These vehicles may only be driven by District employees over the age of 18, who hold a valid driver's license. Only travel within the state of Florida will be permitted, as the vehicles are not insured to travel to other states.
As of April 2024, the 4-door sedans have been replaced with Ford Connect Transit minivans. These have an increased passenger capacity of 6 people, to include 1 driver and up to 5 additional passengers.
-
Driver Certification
District staff borrowing a vehicle should complete a Driver Certification form once per school term (Aug-Dec, Jan-May, Jun-Jul) to be retained on file at the transportation office. You may bring your completed form when you arrive to pick up the vehicle, or you may complete the form in the Transportation Office at time of pick-up.
-
Vehicle Passenger Roster
Any vehicle that will be transporting students must complete a Vehicle Passenger Roster and keep the completed form in the vehicle for the duration of the trip. Following completion of the trip, these forms may be securely disposed of (shredded) or retained at the school. Please do not turn them in at transportation when you return the car.
